Customers often get confused with the process of replacing their consumer unit (fuseboard) so here is the step by step process behind replacing your consumer unit.

How much does it cost to replace my consumer unit?
Our prices start from £650+VAT.
Can you just replace a consumer unit without any other works?
No, we would need to carry our an EICR beforehand to ascertain whether the electrical installation complies with current standards and the wiring is compatible with the more sensitive safety equipment in the new consumer unit.
What is the difference between RCBO and Dual RCD consumer unit?
Dual RCD Boards have 2 RCD's with your properties circuits split evenly between the two. An RCBO Consumer unit has an individual 'RCD' for each circuit which would minimise disruption in the event of a fault. Although slightly more expensive, we would definitely recommend going down the RCBO route.
Can you replace the consumer unit in an occupied property?
Yes, This is no problem at all, we can even provide some temporary sockets to use for essentials such as Wi-Fi etc, Whilst we are carrying out the Fuseboard replacement.
